With the support of Chinese technology, Madagascar’s solar energy sector is thriving

Recently, Shangwei’s technical team traveled across mountains and seas to Madagascar to provide professional guidance for a local photovoltaic project, putting the concept of green development into practice and promoting energy cooperation between China and Africa.

      Upon arriving at the project site, the technicians immediately got to work. Taking into account Madagascar’s unique geographical environment and climatic conditions—including high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and strong winds and sandstorms in some areas—the team optimized the installation and maintenance plans for the photovoltaic equipment. During the installation process, the technicians provided hands-on training to local workers, demonstrating and explaining every step in detail, from mounting the racks to the precise installation of the solar panels.       To help local personnel better master the operation and maintenance of the photovoltaic system, the technical team also organized multiple training sessions. The curriculum covered the basic principles of photovoltaic systems, key points for daily inspections, and methods for troubleshooting common issues. By combining practical case studies with clear, accessible explanations, the technicians earned unanimous praise from local trainees.

      Throughout the project’s implementation, the team established effective communication channels with the local community and actively addressed their concerns regarding the photovoltaic project. One local resident remarked, “This solar project has brought us clean electricity, and I believe our lives will continue to improve in the future.”
